The HRIS Manager will lead the following initiatives with the Ceridian transformation as a top priority:

Lead the current Ceridian Dayforce implementation project with support from the Payroll Manager and an external consultant. Provide subject matter expertise in areas including, but not limited to, organization structure, jobs, management structure, time clock implementation and management, custom reports, user acceptance testing, and various required vendor data feeds to/from Dayforce.

  • Upon completion of implementation, manage and oversee the daily operation of the Ceridian Dayforce HCM application, including, but not limited to, data and interface issues, as well as manage multiple simultaneous projects to implement new/changed user requirements and company objectives as required.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operation of Ethan Allen’s legacy Ceridian HPW and TimePro Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including, but not limited to, data and interface issues as well as manage multiple simultaneous projects to implement new/changed user requirements and company goals directed by senior management.
  • Prepare and distribute required internal and compliance reports. These include, but are not limited to, hire/turnover/termination and overtime reports, company census data, metrics to support affirmative action planning and insurance renewal processes, hours worked by location, data feeds to various vendors, quarterly VT healthcare fund contribution forms preparation, and various reports requested on an ad hoc basis. 
  • Analyze system, data and interface problems. Partner with peers and third-party vendors to determine cause to propose and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain system and database integrity and perform audits of HRIS data.
  • Partners with IT on release management and governance with other technology modules and owners.
  • Plan, create and manage projects and project teams consisting of internal and external resources to accomplish goals directed by senior management in operations, human resources and finance.
  • Maintain database files and tables and develop custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff.
  • Develop, implement and modify system requirements.
  • Oversees HR technology maintenance, upgrades, and releases, including communication to stakeholders of the business processes impacted by the changes and other related downstream impacts.
  • Influence and inform senior management to determine strategic direction of HRIS and reengineer HR, payroll and benefits processes to enhance data dissemination and usage within the organization.
  • Identify training needs of end users and develop, provide and/or facilitate the necessary training to meet those needs.
  • Support Open Enrollment process with year-end benefits-related payroll deductions processing and reporting requirements.
  • PTO accrual processing for both fiscal and calendar year specific locations.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience of direct HRIS/Data Management experience. Experience working with the Ceridian HPW/Signature HRIS platform required, including HR/Payroll and Time & Attendance modules. Ceridian Dayforce system implementation and support experience required.
  • Hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM or similar HCM.
  • Hands-on experience with XML, XSD, and CSV import schemas.
  • Experience transitioning organizations from a traditional on-prem Ceridian to a Cloud HCM solution and managing configurations of business processes in such cloud solutions.
  • Experience with IT System analysis, vendor and project management preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, decision making/planning, organization skills a must.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, and charts) along with strong presentation and technical skills.
