Overview

We are actively seeking a key leader in the Greater Philadelphia Area to work with our team of 5-7 professional interior designers in our Marlton Square Design Center. This market, which also includes South Jersey and the Shore, has tremendous potential, where the right candidate will bring a passion for developing others to strengthen client relationships, build revenue and increase overall customer satisfaction. With each design consultant operating their own business under the umbrella of Ethan Allen, the ideal leadership candidate would have prior multi-unit experience.

General Objectives

Responsible for all aspects of the business, including the development, training, and motivation of the professional design team while maintaining a high level of customer contact and achieving goals. Actively coach to raise professionalism of the design services and assist with developing business plans with staff designers to increase market reach and revenue. Work closely with each associate to manage design projects, client contacts and relationships, sales volume, Interior Designer effectiveness and overall customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive relevant work experience and practical interior design experience, or a combination of both.
Proven sales background in residential interior design.
Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
Supervisory experience required.

This position requires team leadership and the ability to manage the design process including the ability to review and provide feedback on design projects using technical and creative skills in color and space planning.
Demonstrated ability to practice residential interior design.
Ability to train and coach for design, product knowledge, metric performance and customer service.
