Position Summary:

Responsible for managing specified projects as they pertain to the digital department, website, third party, and/or new media for Ethan Allen Global, Inc. and (and associated company websites).  Establishes and manages project milestones to ensure timeliness and completion of key objectives as established by internal project stakeholders.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Digital Merchandising, Director of 3D technology, and relevant business leads to oversee project lifecycles for the digital department, including but not limited to: understanding project scope and requirements; managing project workflows for digital projects and products; identifying and recommending solutions to potential issues, and overseeing timelines to ensure all projects are ready for expected due dates.
  • Lead, manage, and contribute to initiatives with 3rd party vendors responsible for room planning, custom art/mirrors, AR initiatives, & other various digital initiatives in tandem with maintaining programs and implement fixes/enhancements.
  • Work with Education & Training to demo and create training materials for digital platforms.
  • Lead and cultivate relationships with our Designer network to facilitate new in-store digital projects as well as continually improve existing in-store digital tools.
  • Drive execution of the vision for existing and future projects such as new digital tools, in-store touchscreens, international expansion, and other digital media initiatives.
  • As brand expands into new media, act as the liaison between IT and Web departments to manage and partner on projects for product architecture and data integration.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in IT, Merchandising, and Creative teams to implement new web-based products, tools, enhancements, and e-Commerce projects. Ensure objectives and deadlines are met timely and completely; document all meetings and procedures. Establish project-level roles for key players and the expectations for fulfilment of those roles.
  • Manage multiple domestic and international sites to ensure consistent branding based on US.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders on Digital team for all sites to assist the Director with the implementation of new web-based e-Commerce merchandising tools and features.
  • Actively contribute to the development of best practices related to the digital process and project workflow to establish best working standards for all digital projects.
  • Create functional description documentation for new digital initiatives, reference materials for digital projects, and facilitate SOW procurement and editing based on experience and departmental objectives.
  • Analyze and provide support for existing workflows, in an effort to create new workflows that will bring efficiencies to all digital projects.
  • Continue self-education through web-based content management tools and consoles (such as Demandware Business Manager), online documentation, webinars, etc.
  • Perform QA testing on relevant programs and applications and provide results/feedback to Digital team. Assist in Test Automation evaluation. Provide QA training, procedures, and guidance to others as needed.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years digital, web, and interactive experience.
  • Knowledge of and comfortable using web-based content management tools and relevant vendor software that supports e-Commerce/web.
  • Understanding of Web medium and Internet best practices, as it relates to project management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task across multiple projects and "wear many hats any given day".
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, under pressure, and be flexible and responsive to evolving and changing business objectives.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of employees in a professional manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent computer and Mac skills. Photoshop and other graphic programs are a plus for conceptual mock-ups for new web projects.
