Job Description

Perform operation to prepare and spring up frames and/or sub assemblies for upholstered and exposed wood

frames.  Work on a variety of models as assigned performing preparation, changing set-ups, springing and

tying off,  if required for correct sprung frame or sub assembly.  Check the assembly, spring up and frame for

level performing all duties necessary to ensure completion of work is to quantity and quality standards.

 

  1. Roll built frame to work station .

 

  1. Read frame ticket specifications for spring type.

 

  1. Clip all rails that require nosag clips. Install proper nosag springs into clips. Beat clips shut w/ hammer and attach with clip gun to secure.  Attach tie wire with clinch gun then cover springs with spring cover material.

 

  1. Install propex or cardboard to in arms/corners of frame (when required).

 

  1. Install correct springs into frame after attaching the spring insulator pad (if required). Cover springs with spring cover.

 

  1. Roll/push the job off line onto roller conveyor or slide the completed frame to line-up.

 

  1. May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.

  1. Must be able to complete job duties in timely manner
  1. Ability to pay close attention to details
  2. Effective verbal communication skills
  3. Excellent attendance record and must maintain attendance
  4. Ability to work and make decisions with minimum supervision
  5. Overtime as required, including possible Saturday work as needed
  6. Work standing/walking 8-9 hrs a day
  7. Must learn to read the frame ticket for appropriate spring applications
