Position Summary:

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative I who will act as brand ambassador with constant front line interactions with clients, both internal and external.  Candidates should be passionate about customer service as they will be responsible for handling inbound calls, outbound calls, email, and live chat.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from clients and Ethan Allen Retailers.
  • Assist clients and retailers with placement of orders, refunds, replacements, changes, or
    exchanges.
  • Share knowledge of product information, internet web order processing, warranties and terms
    of sale.
  • Resolve client complaints while maintaining composure in difficult situations. Escalating to
    appropriate parties as needed.
  • Coordinate after delivery service issues as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date on new information or changes that have been issued to the product lines or
    within the company.
  • Identify trends related to all aspects of service.
  • Perform other assigned projects and related tasks within department.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • High school diploma and at least 1-2 years experience in a customer facing, customer service
    position.
  • Demonstrates a customer-first attitude; highly motivated to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent listening skills, written and verbal communications skills. Flexible, dependable and
    conscientious.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, organization skills and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured, Call Center environment working with customers.
  • Demonstrated PC skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
