Oversee Lounge operations to include all beverage service for both bar and restaurant areas. To maximize profitability, control costs, ensure Ethan Allen Hotel quality standards are met while providing 100% guest satisfaction

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the day-to-day beverage service activities of bar/lounge and restaurant outlets.
  • Accurately prepare all drinks and spirits ordered by guests
  • Prepare bar for service
  • Properly stocking all items needed for service.
  • Attend pre-meal with attending kitchen staff for specials and menu additions
  • Greet guests at bar and tables and take all orders
  • Seasonal/Daily Cocktail list conforming to the trends
  • Maintaining proper sanitation of Bar areas
  • Observing and enforcing TIPS guidelines
  • Abiding by all Rules and Regulations set forth by the State of Connecticut and Liquor Commission.
  • Enter orders into Micros system

Job Requirements

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

  • Ability to stand for 8 to 10hrs length of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend frequently during a shift
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate to all customer requests.
  • Flexibility to step into whatever role is needed at the time in order to deliver exceptional customer service. This may include taking on job responsibilities outside of this job description and may require assisting other departments in their regular functions.
  • Ability to comply with all hotels policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and/or flexible hours
  •  Comply with hotel policy regarding attendance and attire

  •  POS System/Micros System
